A variety of activities will provide hours of entertainment for our residents and visitors alike. The celebration will end with some of the area’s best fireworks, in a display over Niantic Bay designed and executed by East Lyme’s own Tom Quinn and sponsored by Dominion.

Sand Castle Competition

Our popular Sand Castle Competition is back and promises to be more fun than ever before! Taking place at Hole in the Wall Beach, this is a great event for children and families, and is hosted by East Lyme’s Parks & Recreation Department. To participate, please register by calling the parks and recreation department.

Children’s Area

Stop by our fabulous Children’s Area! Complete with a Moon Bounce, hands-on activities, face painting, caricatures and so much more!

St. John’s Carnival

St. John’s Episcopal Church will be holding its Annual Summer Carnival at 400 Main Street (across from the Children’s Museum) during Celebrate East Lyme! There will be new rides, food and midway fun for the whole family. For more information visit www.stjohnsniantic.org or call 739-2324.

We will have several stages throughout Main Street including  Pro-Tek Auto, Main Street Park and McCook Point Park. As you move down Main Street, stop by the Main Street Park Stage, sponsored by Jamkat Entertainment! They have assembled an awesome collection of music that you don’t want to miss and some BiG screen surprises!

Pro Tek Auto is rockin the house with their ever popular music stage which promises to be better than ever! McCooks Stage opens up at 7:30pm and will feature awesome local musicians.

Fireworks

Enjoy the sights and sounds as our local musicians light up our stage right before local Tom Quinn lights up Niantic Bay with a spectacular fireworks display! Sponsored by Dominion, our fireworks bash on the bay is back with a most spectacular show! It is a wonderful ending to our annual sensational summer celebration by the sea! The fireworks usually start several minutes after 9:00PM.
