LEDGE LIGHT HEALTH DISTRICT
Addresses public health concerns, promotes health education and works to prevent the spread of disease. Inspects restaurants, day cares, public pools and hotels; approves plans for septic and well installations and revisions; collects beach water samples to make sure swimming areas are safe; holds annual flu clinics; provides smoking cessation classes; works with municipalities, schools and local organizations to bring targeted health programs to the community.

After school programming that provides youth with positive service experiences, leadership development, drug and alcohol education and prevention activities, volunteer work, dances and community service. Refers families to social services as needed, and maintains the Youth Center.
