PART-TIME HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT
Under the direction of the Human Resources Director/or designee, the part-time Human Resources Assistant performs work of a confidential, complex and responsible nature in any of the following areas: employee benefits, retirement, employee relations, employee records, recruitment and onboarding, data collection, wage classification, workers compensation, employee programs, training and communication. Performs work within district, state and federal statutes, regulations, and policies for the Town employees. This position will also assist in other Town Hall departments, as needed.

This is a part time 25 hours/week position. Work week is Monday – Friday (5-day work week) Starting pay $23/hr.

ASSESSOR’S ASSISTANT
The Town of East Lyme is looking to hire an Assessor’s Assistant for their general government. The Assessor’s Assistant Performs fiscal and other related technical work assisting the Assessor in preparing the annual Grand List, property maps and records, and other general office administration. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Assessor and involves the exercise of independent judgment and initiative within the context of State Statutes and prevailing policies and procedures. Work is reviewed for overall program effectiveness and efficiency. The salary range for this position is $24.52-$30.69 per hour.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR
The Town of East Lyme is looking to hire an IT Director for their general government.   The IT Director is responsible for planning and managing the town’s information systems, data networks and telecommunication, and advising town department heads and officials regarding effective use of information technology.   The IT Director is also responsible for overseeing all aspects of systems administration for the town’s day to day operations; including but not limited to managing the Information Technology, PC support, the help desk, troubleshooting, cybersecurity, and special projects.  The salary range for this position is $90,000-$115,000.

HIGHWAY MASTER MECHANIC/FLEET MANAGER
The Town is looking to fill an opening in the Town of East Lyme Highway Department for the position of Highway Master Mechanic/Fleet Manager. DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
An opening exists in the Town of East Lyme for a Director of Finance, with a salary range of $115,000 to $145,000. The Director of Finance shall maintain and supervise the general accounting system for all departments, offices, boards, commissions, and agencies, as well as directly supervise the Finance Department. The Director plans, organizes, and directs the keeping of account and financial records for the Town, prepares the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, and other duties as required. Must have municipal experience, especially in budget preparation, capital projects, and bonding. Must be able to relate positively and in a manner that can be comprehended by staff and the public. Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fields, and at least 10 years’ experience in accounting, auditing, or fiscal management, with 5 years as a supervisor. CERTIFIED STATE OF CT TELECOMMUNICATOR – 911 DISPATCHER
GENERAL DUTIES
Functions as a Dispatcher in the East Lyme Emergency Communications Center (ECC) which is the Primary Service Answering Point (PSAP) for the Town of East Lyme. Performs other duties, as required by the Chief of Police.

SUPERVISON RECEIVED
• Receives written and oral instructions from the Chief of Police or his/her designee.
• Plans, organizes and performs daily work according to established policies and procedures for both Police and Fire.
• Establishes priorities within work assignments.
• Answers all telephone calls received on the Towns’ emergency lines as well as all routine lines for the Police Department, Dispatch and Public Safety.
• Obtains information for Towns’ Emergency Services using established procedures.
• Monitors local government radio and voice communications systems.
• Activates emergency services personnel via the Towns’ Paging and Radio Systems.
• Communicates with emergency services personnel, both police and fire.
• Maintains activity logs and event times that support emergency operations.
• Notifies other emergency agencies and personnel for assistance as directed or per protocol.
• Accepts telephone and/or radio messages as to availability of emergency services personnel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A High School Diploma (or equivalent) is the minimum educational requirement. Applicants must already possess certification as a State of Connecticut Telecommunicator, be EMD certified and should have a minimum of two years’ experience as a public safety dispatcher:
The applicant must have the ability to acquire a working knowledge of radios, computers and all other communications related equipment within his/her probationary period. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout instructions furnished in written, oral and schedule form. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively under emergency conditions. Ability to acquire working knowledge of fire, medical and police procedures. Ability to acquire use of emergency medical terms and prioritize emergency calls within general department guidelines. Ability to type accurately.
The applicant shall be in good health and free from disabling physical and mental defects that would affect his/her ability to efficiently handle the duties assigned. Furthermore, the applicant shall be temperamentally suited to the position, including being able to remain calm and take decisive action during emergencies, to remain alert during periods of inactivity and when carrying out normal repetitive operations, and to work harmoniously with other persons.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must pass a comprehensive background investigation by the Police Department. Full-Time Telecommunicators (Dispatchers) MUST be available to work weekend and holiday shifts (Days 0700-1500, Evenings 1500-2300, Midnights 2300-0700) as required by the Chief of Police or his/her designee.

PART TIME BUS DRIVER FOR SENIOR CENTER
The Town of East Lyme is looking for a part time Bus Driver for the Senior Center. The part time Bus Driver drives and performs related transportation duties to assist older and/or disabled adults in the full participation of Town sponsored transportation sponsored activities. This may include helping our older residents with their grocery bags and pushing people in a wheelchair. The driver will need an F endorsement on their license. We are happy to have a potential driver ride with us to see what the job entails.
Work hours are Mondays from 8:30am to 2:00pm and Thursday from 8:30am to 2:00pm. Hourly rate is $15.50.

Highway Maintainer III
Highway Maintainer III to perform general work in the construction, installation, repair and maintenance of roads, bridges, grounds, systems, & facilities, and performs relief work in the removal of refuse and collection of recyclable materials.  A CDL is required for this position, Class A license preferred.  If an applicant does not have a CDL but is still interested, they may still apply as long as they can get their CDL within the probationary period if hired.
