Join us Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 6:00PM on Niantic’s Main Street for one of the most magical nights of the year! The parade kicks off at the corner of Columbus Ave & Main Street (Route 156) and will make its way to Pennsylvania Ave (Route 161) before ending on Grand Street. Rain/Snow Date: Sunday, December 14th at 5:00PM
ROAD CLOSURES & DETOURS
To keep everyone safe, please be aware of the following traffic changes:
- Main Street CLOSED to vehicles at 5:00PM from Black Point Road to the Main St./Pennsylvania Ave intersection and through Grand Street.
- Columbus Ave & Haigh Ave CLOSED at 4:00PM to all except Columbus Ave residents.
- No parking along the parade route beginning at 4:30PM.
- All traffic will be detoured north onto East Pattagansett Rd, then east onto Hope Street back to Pennsylvania Ave (Route 161).
- East Pattagansett Rd northbound will close at the end of the parade to help spectators exit the area smoothly.
The parade lasts about 2 hours. Roads will reopen after the event after crowds disperse.
PUBLIC PARKING AREAS
- Municipal lot on Hope St.
- Town Hall (Pennsylvania Ave)
- Cini Park (under the bridge on Main St.)
- Methodist St.
- Niantic Center School (W. Main St.)
- Hole-in-the-Wall Beach lot (IMPORTANT NOTE BELOW!)
Hole-in-the-Wall Parking Warning: If you park there, your vehicle must be removed by 4:30PM, or you will be stuck in the lot until Main Street reopens after the parade.
McCook Point Park Warning: No public parking at McCook Point Park — this area is reserved for parade floats and participants.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- Expect heavy traffic — please pack your patience!
- Police and emergency staff will be guiding vehicles and pedestrians.
- Invite friends and family to enjoy this holiday tradition with thousands of spectators!
