This Pedestrian Facilities Plan was developed by the East Lyme Department of Public Works in conjunction with other relevant departments, the intent is to make this plan as transparent and accessible as possible.

Any questions regarding the plan should be directed to the Town of East Lyme ADA Coordinator or the Public Works Director.

This plan was created to outline many long-standing informal policies the Town has had regarding pedestrian facilities and access in the Town’s Right-of-Way (ROW). Specifically, the plan seeks to formalize the following:

  1. Town Master Planning for Existing and Future Pedestrian Facilities
  2. The Town’s ADA Transition Plan for Existing Pedestrian Facilities
  3. Design Guidelines for the Town when Considering Pedestrian Facilities
  4. Maintenance Practices of Existing Pedestrian Facilities
