FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER
The East Lyme Police Department is now accepting applications for Full-Time and Part-Time Public Safety Dispatcher. The position functions as a Dispatcher in the East Lyme Emergency Communications Center (ECC) which is the Primary Service Answering Point (PSAP) for the Town of East Lyme and performs other duties, as required by the Chief of Police. Applicants must pass a comprehensive background investigation by the Police Department. Part-Time Telecommunicators and Full-Time (Dispatchers) MUST be available to work weekend and holiday shifts (Days 0700-1500, Evenings 1500-2300, Midnights 2300-0700) as required by the Chief of Police or his/her designee.

TOWN ENGINEER
The Town of East Lyme, a shoreline community of 19,000 in Southeastern Connecticut, is accepting applications for the position of Town Engineer in the Engineering Department. This position would be part of a Team responsible for performing design, construction oversight, plan review, and other essential engineering tasks for a medium size shoreline Town.  The candidate should have working knowledge of road design, drainage systems, construction project design, construction inspection, and municipal plan review.  A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Professional Engineer License in the State of Connecticut is required or the ability to obtain one within 18 months (if otherwise qualified). A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering is required, with municipal experience preferred.  This position works closely with other experienced engineers and land surveyors in the Engineering, Public Works and the Water and Sewer Department.
