Important Storm Message from the Town of East Lyme (Updated 5:10PM Monday)

In addition to the normal Monday closure, the Transfer Station will also be closed on Tuesday so that personnel can assist with snow removal tasks.

At this point of snow removal, we ask that you try to hold off on calling our office, unless there is a major safety issue. Please give us until Wednesday to completely address our snow removal process.

We are still in a parking ban. Our goal is to end the ban sometime Tuesday, we will update the Town website and social media pages when we do.

We are aiming to start clearing sidewalks on Wednesday upon completion of all road issues. Water & Sewer and the Fire Department will be working to clear fire hydrants as best as possible. If residents and business owners can help clear around the walks and hydrants on your property, we greatly appreciate the assist!

No on-street parking ban continues until further notice. East Lyme Police will be enforcing the parking ban, patrolling to ensure vehicles are moved in a timely manner. Towing of vehicles is at the owner’s expense if found in violation of this order.

Public Parking will be allowed at the following locations:

  • McCook Point Park Lower Lot
  • Hope Street Commuter Lot
  • Bridebrook Park
  • Methodist Street Parking Lot

NO curbside Trash/Recycling Collection on Monday, January 26, 2026. Double Collection will take place Tuesday, January 27, 2026. We will collect BOTH Monday and Tuesday routes on Tuesday. Expect Delays!
