The latest revision to CGS §12-81 83 requires any Veteran seeking the tax exemption for Veterans with a 100% service-connected, permanently and totally disability rating to make annual application no later than January 1st.
That date is rapidly approaching; failure to apply will result in the loss of this exemption on the upcoming July tax bills.
Please complete and return the required documentation to the Assessor’s Office along with a copy of your current VA Disability Award letter no later than January 1, 2026.
The Assessors office is open Monday – Thursday 8:00AM to 5:00PM and Friday’s from 8:00AM to 11:30AM. We will be closed on January 1, 2026.
