In accordance with the Town of East Lyme’s 2020 Plan of Conservation and Development recommendations, the Town has partnered with Environmental Systems Corporation (ESC) to install (2) 50kW DCFC (Fast Charging) Electric Vehicle Stations at the Town Hall, and future proofed for an additional (4) 9.98kW Level 2 Charging Stations.

At the Hope and Methodist Street public parking lots, (2) Single Port Dual Mounted Level 2 EV Charging Stations were installed, at both sites at the highest amperage available (80Amps) or 19.2kW each. Sites were installed with a NAP (network access package) for load management and future proofing.

Electric Vehicle chargers are located in downtown Niantic at:

1. Town Hall in the rear parking lot behind the Probate Court – 108 (or 118) Pennsylvania Avenue
2. The exit of the Hope Street Public Parking Lot – 11 Hope Street
3. The entrance of the Methodist Street Public Parking Lot – 5 Methodist Street
