Utility Project Coordinator
The Town of East Lyme, a shoreline community of 19,000 in Southeastern Connecticut, is accepting resumes for the position of Utility Project Coordinator in their Water & Sewer Department. This position would be responsible for oversight and coordination of water and wastewater improvement and rehabilitation projects as well as assisting the Utility Engineer with day to day operational matters. The candidate should have working knowledge of design, methods, practices, equipment and materials used in water and wastewater systems. A Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Connecticut is preferred. A minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible experience in water and sewer engineering is required. The position reports directly to the Utility Engineer. The first major task is to develop and implement a meter replacement program for the Town of East Lyme; including drafting regulation changes, overseeing funding, developing plans and specifications, bidding, project oversight, and inspection.
Salary $70,000 to $80,000 dependent on qualifications with excellent benefits. Additionally, the opportunity exists for future growth in the Department with this position.
