The Town of East Lyme has utility yard waste containers for sale to homeowners and business owners. The cost for each is $25.  Quantities are limited and are first come, first served.

Containers may be purchased from the Transfer Station (93 Roxbury Rd). These are available to residents or property owners of East Lyme. Proof of residency must be shown prior to purchase. Pickup only during normal business hours.   (Tuesday – Saturday, 7:30AM – 2:30PM)

Transactions are by credit card only at the scale house.

These are old recycling cans that are no longer viable for roadside collection with our garbage trucks due to the age of the cans.

They will NOT be allowed to be used for any roadside collection and will be marked on the can as such. Our Drivers will not pickup these cans.  

There will be NO Warranty or guarantee on the longevity or condition of the can. However, we would anticipate these to be a great use around the yard to collect brush or leaves and other items that you would be planning to dispose of at the transfer station.
