Want to do a ride along and get first-hand experience? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions then we have something exciting coming up for you!
The East Lyme Police Department is proud to announce it will be holding its first ever Citizens Police Academy coming up this fall. This will be a 9-week course meeting one day a week on Thursday evenings from 6:00PM – 8:00PM.
Courses will be primarily taught by East Lyme Police Officers. Some of the topics will include: the hiring process and field training, patrol operations, DUI and drug recognition, traffic enforcement, juvenile laws, along with multiple demonstrations amongst other topics.

This academy will take you on an accelerated overview of the various operations of the East Lyme Police Department. It is our goal to increase the understanding of police work and to help develop effective police/community relationships. So join us and be a part of this exceptional effort and experience.
