September 6, 2018Come join the fun as Niantic Main Street hosts their 9th season of the Niantic Farmers’ Market. The market features local vendors who fill the market space (i.e., Methodist St) as they do every year with an array of fresh and local produce, pies, breads, plants, herbs, greens, hummus, pork, jams, jellies, prepared foods, native wool, coffee, fresh-filled cannoli’s and much, much more.
The Niantic Farmers Market located on Methodist Street between Pro Tek Auto and Niantic Cinemas and will run every Thursday from 3 to 6:00PM until October 12th.

September 22, 2018Mark your calendars for the 5th Annual Black Sheep Oyster Festival. If you thought prior year’s events were great, this year’s event promises to be bigger and better. This relatively new end-of-summer Niantic event is sure to be another crowd pleaser with local Oyster Farmers onsite, Oyster Shucking Contest, Irish Step Dancers, Oyster inspired menu items, Guinness Pint Specials, Live Music, Prizes & Giveaways and a whole lot more.
This year’s Black Sheep Guinness Oyster Festival takes place on Saturday, September 22, 2018 beginning at 12:00 noon at The Black Sheep Irish Pub located at 247 Main St., Niantic.
