Video Recording/Live Streaming Privacy and Disclaimer
Some East Lyme Town Hall Meetings are recorded and/or streamed live to provide the community with greater access to the debate and the decision-making process.
Privacy Collection Statement
Some meetings are live streamed and recorded for viewing on the town website and YouTube. Some meetings that are not live streamed are recorded. Some recorded meetings are made publicly available on the town’s website usually within seven days after the meeting date.
Anyone attending a meeting in-person may be filmed and recorded. Comments made by members of the public will be recorded and/or Live Streamed. These videos may be viewed on the town website or YouTube.

The opinions or statements made during the course of Town of East Lyme meetings are those of the individual making the statement and not the opinions or statements of the town or its elected or appointed officials, unless set out in an approved motion of the board, commission or council.

While the Town of East Lyme will make every effort to ensure that live streaming and/or a recording is available, it takes no responsibility for, and cannot be held liable for technical issues beyond its control. Technical issues may include, but are not limited to:
- Operator or other human error
- Availability of the Internet connection
- Availability of YouTube Live Streaming
- Device failure or malfunction
- Power outages
