Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is the Federal Law that protects individuals and groups from discrimination on the basis of their race, color, or national origin in programs and activities. The East Lyme Senior Center will ensure that no person shall, on the grounds of of the above listed categories, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity offered at the Senior Center.

Any person alleging to be aggrieved by a discriminatory practice by the Senior Center may in person or through a legal representative, obtain a Title VI Complaint Form, fill it out and file said complaint with the Senior Center Office, the CT Department of Transportation, or the Federal Transit Administration within 180 days following the date of the alleged discriminatory action.
