As East Lyme enters into the summer season, the Water Department will be receiving water from New London at least through the Labor Day weekend to supplement its supply and help offset increased seasonal demand. Since New London water has a higher chlorine content than East Lyme water, the chlorine may be more noticeable while receiving water from New London, particularly in the north end of town along Chesterfield Road and adjoining side streets.
