Parks and Recreation Update

The East Lyme Parks and Recreation Commission at their regularly scheduled meeting on June 11, 2020 made the following policy adjustments for entrance to Town of East Lyme Beaches (McCook Point Park, Hole in the Wall, Niantic Bay Beach @ Cini Park) under the Parks and Recreation jurisdiction.

(1) Starting on Saturday, June 20, 2020 a limited amount of daily Non-Resident passes will be sold for admittance to our beaches. Passes will be sold daily at the McCook Point Park lower support building starting at 7:30 a.m.
Non-Resident Daily pass fees will be $40.00 (Monday-Friday) and $50.00 (Weekends and Holidays). Passes will be sold on a first come first serve basis and the number sold will be based on capacity levels at our beaches.

(2) The Parks and Recreation Commission also approved facility reservations for the Pavilion at McCook Point Park for residents and taxpayers beginning Saturday, June 20. The maximum group limit will be 25 participants. Please contact the Parks and Recreation Office at 860-739-5828 to check availability.

(3) The Ledge Light Health Department is no longer recommending that playgrounds be closed to the public. Effective Wednesday, June 17th Playgrounds have been opened. The Parks and Recreation Department will post Capacity Levels for each playground unit. Please note that the Playground Equipment is NOT cleaned or disinfected regularly. Participant use the equipment at their own risk.
