  • Registration begins: May 30th at the East Lyme Parks and Recreation Office
  • Start Date: Monday, June 25
  • End Date: Friday, August 10
  • Days: Monday – Friday (no program July 4th)
  • Hours: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm

  • Ages Eligible: Children entering grades 1 through 6

  • Resident Fee: $245.00
  • Non-Resident Fee: $345.00

Important Calendar Dates

Tuesday, June 26: For all grades: Animal Embassy-“Amazing Animal Adventure”  Grades 1-2-3, 9 to 10 am; and Grades 4, 5, 6, 10 to 11 a.m.

Monday, July 2: Grades 1, 2, 3 Beach Day at McCook Point Park.  In case of rain, the program will be held at the school.

Tuesday, July 3: Grades 1, 2, 3 Beach Day at McCook Point Park.  In case of rain, the program will be held at the school.

Wednesday, July 4: NO PROGRAM, ALL SITES CLOSED!

Monday, July 9: Grades 4, 5, 6 Beach Day at McCook Point Park.   In case of rain, participants should report to school.

Tuesday, July 10: Grades 1, 2, 3 Beach Day at McCook Point Park.  In case of rain, the program will be held at the school.

Wednesday, July 11: Big Daddy Raceway, video games & laser tag

Monday, July 16: Grades 1, 2, 3 Beach Day at McCook Point Park. In case of rain, the program will be held at the school.

Wednesday, July 18: Curious Creatures return!

Monday, July 23: Grades 4, 5, 6 Beach Day at McCook Point Park.  In case of rain school will be open.

Tuesday, July 24: Grades 1, 2, 3 Beach Day at McCook Point Park. In case of rain, the program will be held at the school.

July 30 to Aug 3: Spirit week.  See newsletter for planned activities.

Thursday, Aug 9: ANNUAL FIELD DAY featuring “Big Daddy Rock Wall” at McCook Point Park, upper level. It will also include “beach time” and pizza.Friday, August 10: Grades 1 through 6 will meet at McCook Point Park from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  In case of rain the program will be held at the school.

Refund Policy

  • Playground & Hang-Out Program: All refund requests must be made in writing to the Parks and Recreation Department. An administration fee of $25.00 will be charged. *An Exception may be considered should a health related issue arise.
  • Playground Camp: Refunds will only be issued during the first week of the program
  • Extended Care: When purchasing all seven weeks or multiple weeks at one time; no refunds will be issued. There is an option of signing up on a weekly basis if you are uncertain of the dates you need.

Counselors

  • We have an energetic and experienced group of counselors who will provide the necessary supervision in a safe setting. Read below to learn more about each counselor!

Playground Supervisor:

My name is Rachel Skelton and this is my second year as the  Playground Supervisor. I am a graduate student at the University of Saint Joseph. I am in my last year of my program for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Outside of camp, I am a district substitute and teach preschool classes at Parks and Recreation. I’m looking forward to another fun summer with your kids!

Grades 4-6 Site Leader:

My name is Dillon Jennings and I am a new site leader this year but it is my 6th summer at camp. I’m going to be a senior at Eastern Connecticut State University majoring in history and secondary education.  

Grades 4-6 Assistant Site Leader:

My name is Hailey Gordon and this will be my 5th year working at camp. I attend Southern Connecticut State University where I play lacrosse and will major in Psychology. I’m super excited about camp and I know this will be one of the best years yet!

Grades 1-3 Site Leader:

My name is Greg Swenson, it is my 7th summer working at camp. I just graduated from Drew University with economics and history degrees. I plan on working in the private school system with aspirations to become an athletic director.

Grades 1-3 Assistant Site Leader:

I’m Samantha Dubreuil and this is my 7th year at camp, but my third year as an assistant site leader. I’m finishing up my child psychology/ education degree at Eastern Connecticut State University and I also coach at East Celebrity Elite. I love working with kids and I’m looking forward to seeing new and returning faces this summer!
