E-mail

On February 19, 2010, Michael Giannattasio, Director of Public Works for the Town of East Lyme, achieved Building Operator Certification—Level II.  The Building Operator Certification credential is awarded to individuals who demonstrate knowledge and competency in the energy efficient operation and maintenance of buildings and equipment.  Mr. Giannattasio completed over 60 hours of classroom training and in-facility project assignments in electrical & HVAC systems, energy conservation, codes and indoor air quality to earn this certification.

The Town of East Lyme is proud of his accomplishment and looks forward to his capable contribution in this area as the Town works to improve the overall efficiency of all Town properties.

Niantic Village Street Clock

E-mail

walkwayclockThe proposed walkway from Main Street to The Hole in the Wall is in the final stages of easement acquisition and design.  This project would not be possible without the community support of Ring's End Lumber Company, George Mitchell, and Robert Reardon, for considering easements on their own property to place the walkway.  The walkway was further supported by the Niantic Rotary who raised $25,000 toward the project at the annual Gold raffle held February 13, 2010.
