TOWN CLERK’S FEES

 DOG LICENSES
 

The Town Clerk’s Office is reminding dog owners that they must register their dogs by June 30.

 

All dogs 6 months of age or older must be licensed. Fees for neutered or spayed dogs are $8.00 and for un-neutered or unspayed dogs are $19.00.

 

A certificate of neutering or spaying from a licensed vet must be presented when licensing a dog for the first time.

 

An up-to-date certificate of rabies vaccination must be presented before a dog can be licensed. The rabies tag is not acceptable.

 

To license by mail, send all required information (which will be returned) along with a check made payable to Town of East Lyme and mail to East Lyme Town Clerk, PO Box 519, Niantic, CT 06357. Please send a self-addressed stamped envelope with 62 cents postage affixed.

 

A penalty of $1 per month will be assessed for payments received after July 1. For information, call the Town Clerk’s Office at 739-6931, x 120.

NOTARY PUBLIC (FILING OF SIGNATURE IN TOWN OF RESIDENCE MANDATORY)
 Statutory fee of $10.00

NOTARY PUBLIC AVAILABLE
There is a $2.00 fee for non-residents of East Lyme for notarization of documents. Wills will not be notarized.

LIQUOR PERMITS
 Statutory fee of $2.00. A liquor permit must be filed with the Town Clerk before it is posted in the place of business.

VITAL STATISTICS
 Marriage license application $30.00
Civil union License application $30.00
Certified copy of birth, marriage or death $ 10.00
Certified copy of civil union license $10.00
 

COPIES
 Minutes, agendas: $.50 per page

Land Records: $1.00 per page

 

RECORDING FEES
 Land Records: $43.00 for the first page, $5.00 for each additional page in same document.

If the document is a taxable conveyance, an Additional $2.00 fee is collected.

Subdivision plans: $20.00 per mylar

Boundary surveys: $10.00 per mylar

There is no charge for recording Veterans’ Discharges.
